Unpopular opinion: I am not really into dressing up for Halloween. I know, this might be the opposite for most people, but the desire to be a witch, a clown or a ghost for a night stopped somewhere in the beginning of my twenties. But I do love experimenting with colours in my makeup for a special occasion. So why not doing an understated Halloween Look, for those who want to attend a spooky Party without looking too spooky themselves?
For this look, I wanted to go for a flawless pale base, dramatic orange eyes and a subtle nude lip.

Base
The perfect foundation for this look is the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear. It can be build to a full coverage, to get that flawless look and it is longlasting at the same time. What else could you wish for? The Vichy Dermablend Powder gives it even more lasting power. I tried not to use too much bronzer for this look, which is pretty hard for me, and I tried to give my face a bit more dimension with the Mac Blush in “Gingerly”.
Eyes
The star of the eye look is without a doubt the NYX Pigment Eyeshadow in the shade “15 Orange”. It is a bit harder to work with as it’s a loose eyeshadow, but the pigmentation is absolutely amazing. To make sure it all stays in place I used the Artdeco 3in1 Base. It’s my new go-to base as it has a tint to it, which almost conceals and evens out the small veins on the lid. Love it! I also used Mac’s “Woodwinked” and “Cork” to give the look a bit more depth.
Lips
I was planning on wearing a dark purple lip with this, but I realised that a soft nude makes the eyes stand out more. I chose the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy in “Insatiable Ivory” and blotted it down with a bit of the Vichy powder to get a matte look.
