Today I don’t have a super long post for you as most of you, myself included, are probably way too busy spending time with loved ones and eating all the good food.
One of my traditions is that I try to make something tasty and self-made to go with the actual presents every year. I made the same thing last year and as everyone loved it so much I decided to do it again for this year and share it with you guys. It is really simple and can be done in so many variations.
I begin with melting my chocolate of choice. I always use milk chocolate because I just prefer it (and I will for sure also have some haha). You will need quite a lot so one bar won’t really cut it unless you do it for only one person. I always take one bar for each person I am planning to gift it to.
Then I will put some baking sheets on trays and pour the chocolate on them. The chocolate should be just as thick as a normal bar would be. Then it is time to get creative. I like to make my chocolate very festive so I add dried cranberries, crumbled spiced almond cookies (Spekulatius for my german readers) and some almonds. In the end, I drizzle some white chocolate on top to make it look more interesting. When everything is hard I break it up into uneven pieces to get the perfect self-made look. As I said you can do your own variation of it with the chocolate and the toppings you or your friend and family like. As you see, it is not rocket science.. just a cute idea.
I also just wanted to quickly wish you all a very merry Christmas and hope you are having the best day so far. I spend last night with my mom, my sister, and her boyfriend. Like every year.. haha. My boyfriend is away for work unfortunately but I will get to see him in a few days and seriously can’t wait! Today I will visit my dad and his little family for dinner. Tomorrow I will just relax and will watch loads of Christmas movies.
I would love to know how your Christmas looks like every year.. or is it different each year?
