Sometimes I feel like all we do is constantly trying to improve every single aspect of our lives. Don’t get me wrong, I think progress is a great thing and we all should strive to do and feel better. However, when we overwhelm ourselves with these huge aspirations and we don’t nail them right away, we tend to simply give up. This is why I think that small changes can have the biggest and most importantly lasting impact. Today I want to share with you 5 easy lifestyle changes that will make you feel better instantly.
1.Drink more water.
This is such an easy thing to do. However, we tend to forget about drinking enough water from time to time. So let this be your reminder: Hydration is key! I recently discovered Waterdrop, a delicious and healthy way to add flavour to your water. I like the taste of plain water but I still find myself craving some more flavour in my drink more often than not. This is why I love waterdrops. Their flavours are natural, sugar-free and delicious. My fave flavours are Glow (mango, cactus fruit and artichoke), Boost (Blackcurrant, Elderflower and Acai) and Relax (Hisbiscus, Acerola and Aronia). And do we have to talk about how cute this re-usable steel bottle is? I am obsessed!

2.Get into a schedule and stick to it.
Getting up and going to bed at roughly the same time every day has huge benefits. You will feel less groggy in the mornings and your body will get used to your routines. Of course, that will make you more productive. Sounds great, right? And don’t worry. I won’t tell you do get up at 5 am every single day. You should find a rhythm that fits your lifestyle and your body. Some people thrive with an early morning and some are most productive in the evenings. So please don’t let anybody tell you that you can only be successful when you get up before sunrise. You do you! But do it consistently!
3.Just move.
Anytime I see an article talking about ways to improve your life, your health or your mood it talks about the importance of exercise. I know this topic can be daunting and does not sound like an ‘easy lifestyle change’. But with exercise, I don’t mean a 10K or 2-hour weight lifting session. Just try to get your steps in and take the stairs instead of the elevator. These are small changes that are easily implemented and will have a great effect on your overall wellbeing.
4.Get rid of it.
There is something so therapeutic about clearing your space. It is almost like you are clearing your mind at the same time. So next time you feel like your head is just everywhere and you can’t concentrate, maybe try to declutter your surroundings. This doesn’t have to mean that you do a huge clear-out session. Just take on one corner, drawer, box at a time.
5.Learn to say no.
Okay, I have to admit that this is quite hard for me personally… and I am working on it! I know we all want to be the best friend, daughter, partner, employee possible and that is GREAT. Keep up that mentality. But sometimes, we forget that we actually have the right to say no. You don’t have to be at every party every gathering and every event. If you focus your energy consciously there will be much greater results than when you try to do everything and please everyone at the same time. Try it, it feels great!
