If you’re dreaming of the perfect Greek island escape, let me introduce you to Milos—a place that completely stole my heart. From moon-like landscapes to crystal-clear waters and unforgettable food, this Cycladic gem is something truly special. I visited Milos with my boyfriend, and it turned out to be one of the most magical trips we’ve ever taken together. Here’s everything you need to know for planning your own perfect Milos adventure.

Must-See Places
Milos is full of natural beauty, but Sarakiniko deserves its own spotlight. This surreal white rock beach looks like something out of a sci-fi movie—and it’s not just photogenic, it’s magical. I absolutely fell in love with it. It’s hands down one of my favorite places on earth.
Pro tip: Go at sunrise or sunset. The light makes the white rocks glow in shades of gold and pink, creating the most breathtaking atmosphere. Plus, it’s a perfect time for stunning photos without the crowds.

Other spots you shouldn’t miss:
- Kleftiko – only accessible by boat and a natural wonder of caves and turquoise water.
- Firopotamos – a charming fishing village with colorful boathouses. Same goes for Klima.
- Tsigrado & Fyriplaka Beaches – stunning and more off-the-beaten-path.

Where to Stay
We stayed in Mandraikia, a small, quiet fishing village that turned out to be the perfect base. It’s close to Medusa, a must-visit seaside taverna, and just a short drive to Sarakiniko and other key spots.
Our accommodation was a house by Katoikia Slow Living (*Anzeige)—and honestly, it was a dream. The design was elegant, minimal, and thoughtful, blending perfectly with the landscape. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, making the stay even more memorable. I couldn’t recommend it more if you’re looking for a serene and stylish place to stay.

Must-Do Activities
One experience that truly made our trip was a catamaran boat tour to Kleftiko. We booked with Dan Eri Yachts (*Anzeige), and it was an absolute highlight. Swimming through caves, lounging on deck, and enjoying the scenery from the sea gave us a completely different perspective of the island.
And the best part? We saw dolphins swimming alongside our boat. It was such a magical moment that my boyfriend and I will never forget. The entire day felt like something out of a dream—an absolute must-do.

Where to Eat
You’ll eat well all over Milos, but the standout for me was definitely O! Hamos. This family-run taverna near Adamas serves up traditional dishes made with local ingredients, and you can feel the love in every bite. The setting, the atmosphere, the flavors—it all came together to create one of the best meals of our trip.

Other great spots to check out:
- Medusa in Mandrakia – fresh seafood with an unforgettable view.
- Barriello in Tripiti – a modern twist on Greek cuisine in a charming setting.
- Baklava from Mouratos – trust me on this one.
Final Thoughts
Milos is one of those rare places that feels untouched and authentic, yet offers so much for travelers who want to explore, relax, and connect with nature. Whether it’s watching the sunrise over Sarakiniko, sailing alongside dolphins, or unwinding in a peaceful village like Mandraikia—you’ll leave with memories you’ll treasure forever. I know we did.
