As much as I have been investing a lot of time (and money) into my skincare routine recently, I really have neglected my haircare. So I thought it is time to try some new products and tackle some of my problems.
Before I get started to talk about the products I have been using, just a bit about my hair structure: I have quite long but thin hair which, if I don’t style it at all, will simply look flat and straight. As this is not the look I want to go for, I always like to blowdry and style it at the same time. However, I do try to not use any other heated styling tools after.
One of the haircare brands I wanted to try for ages is Bumble & Bumble. Especially their Sunday Shampoo has been on my wishlist for months. So what are the products I incorporated into my routine and how do I get on with them?
The Sunday Shampoo
The Bumble & Bumble Sunday Shampoo is a detox shampoo that deeply cleanses your hair and scalp from product build-up. I like to use this one once a week, typically on a Sunday and follow it with a good conditioner and/or hair mask. In order for your hair to grow as healthily as possible, it is important to remove all the product buildup from time to time. But bear in mind that this shampoo will also strip your hair of all the oils and natural hydration, so this really is not a daily shampoo and you should make sure to moisturize your hair after.
The Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner
I always need all of the volume I can get, so I opted for the Bumble & Bumble Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner. I really adore this range. It gives my hair more body than it normally has while also hydrating my hair. This is something I have not seen in any other “volume” shampoos yet. I love it.
The Thickening Spray
The Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray is used on damp hair just before blow-drying it. I personally have never used any kind of styling product pre-drying. I have to say that it really does what it says. It gives my hair more volume. However, bear in mind that this is not really a hair care product, more of a styling product. So I try to not focus it too much on my ends as they can get quite dry. I use it more on my roots and use oil at the ends of my hair.
The Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray
The Bumble & Bumble Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray is a finishing spray I LOVE to use in the morning to give my hair some more volume which it loses in the night while I sleep on it. It is lightweight, does not feel sticky and has a nice subtle smell to it. I adore this so much and cannot imagine this leaving my routine any time soon.
